Chabot College Internship Program

The Chabot College Internship Program seeks to link students and alumni with educational programs and hands-on work skills. The program promotes a bridge between the College and the community. The Transfer & Career Specialist has secured relationships with employers in the community that provide Internships opportunities. The Career & Transfer Center posts these jobs along with areas to search for Internships that meet individual employment needs.

Although most Internships are posted in the center, students are encouraged to become involved in the selection of the Internship. This allows each student to customize a work experience that that meets their individual needs. This includes but is not limited to: Businesses, Corporations, Educational Institutions, and Community-Based, non-profit organizations.

Typical types of Internships include:

Paid: Job where Intern is hired as any employee and paid appropriate salary/wages
Non-paid: Intern is not paid any salary or wages
Stipend: Intern is paid stipend for work completed. This is paid as lump sum upon completion or in increments based on portions of work and/or projects being completed. This may also be paid based hours of completion.
